I am Muslim so articles will reflect Islamic Values, Lessons, & Advice. There are many issues that we come across on a daily basis with our immediate Family members, Social Groups, and Work Place. I hope for this to Blog to focus mainly on Parents and Children (especially Teens) and as a mother of 4 boys I hope to share and hope others will share ways that they help to raise children that lead an Islamic life in American Society.

About Me:

My mother is from Tokyo,Japan and my father is from Baton Rouge,Louisiana. I was raised as a Methodist in a small town across the river from Baton Rouge called Brusly. I graduated from LSU with a BS in Psychology, a Minor in Sociology, and a Masters in Social Work. After converting to Islam in 1988, I met and married a wonderful Man, Fadi. We have four wonderful, challenging boys and now live in Nashville, TN. I have been a Stay-At-Home mom since my children were born. I have stayed active in the community by volunteering to teach in various locations, to be an activity coordinator in a youth center, and a Leader of Girl Scout Troops for 8 years. Now that my children are older, I am presently looking into a possible Teaching Career. I enjoy writing and finding out new information and hope to share some of the things that I have learned about raising Muslim Children, behavior modification for all age children, information about Islam, role models for ourselves and our children, and the situation in American Politics as well as Middle Eastern Politics especially Palestine.
